At that time the UP between Topeka and Kansas City was DT ABS. The RI 4796 was using the EB main at Lawrence (Ks.) entered the center siding to use it to crossover to the WB main.

Always great to see the SD's on the point of Rock freight. One thing I remember about these units during their ICG 6040-6049 days were their horns. A very enjoyable 5 chime sound. There were regular ICG horns, and there were these 10 units that sounded exceptional! Thanks for a nice look back.
