Author: 3rdswitch

.   .   .  first two scanned off prints:
top: A pair of SP "cruds" are crossing Santa Fe's Third District at Los Nietos on the Whittier branch headed for Valla in '70.
middle: A couple of "crud" powered haulers are waiting their turn to depart SP Whittier yard for Industry yard in '70.
bottom: SP's Torrance switcher is returning from switching Reynolds Aluminum on exPE trackage in downtown Torrance after some heavy rain in '92.

Man, these three certainly nailed it as far memories of southern California SP railroading in my day.
The  typical somewhat smoggy sky in the first one, the chill of a morning at Los Nietos yard and to think, not a
trace of graffiti in view! Very nice, Joe
