Some Branch Line ATSF 30's for Thursday

While living in Bakersfield and traveling the San Joaquin Valley
I was fortunate to see some operations that have either changed
​operators or have been abandoned and many had GP30's for their
power.

#1&2.....May 01, 1991 the Bakersfield Corcoran Turn on its return
to Corcoran from the side trip to Early California Foods in Visalia.
#1 is at Higby and #2 is in Tulare just east of the SP diamond.
#3.....This is a Sunset Railway train at Gosford headed to Levee
This train had only one Revenue car as the rest were headed for
repair at the Heritage Rail car facility at Levee. 1989

I do miss some of the old flavor of the unique railroading I saw in
​the lower San Joaquin Valley. I do have family in Bakersfield and
visit once in a while.

You were very lucky to catch these, Jay. Thanks for posting. Never knew exactly when they would be out and about.
