Switcher Saturday - GM&O 12

The ICG still used GM&O switchers in Bloomington, Illinois in 1974. Here is GM&O 12 (With 17's back headlight) on August 20, 1974.

Most interesting in that the road name is painted on a plate attached to the hood as opposed to simply being painted on the hood.
Also, unit obviously has led a hard life.

always a nice touch.

Neat.  Alco S-2 units with horizontal rad shutters are rare.  Very interesting photo.
