Thanks for posting. I too saw the UP making use of their inherited tunnel motors. Sort of. Here is the 2826 as the local power at Aransas Pass, on the Rockport Branch on the Texas gulf coast south of San Antonio in June of 2004 It is about 1000 miles from the closest tunnel. But rest assured the UP has a plan..... Actually it was a fun day. I had a brief chat with the crew, and we had friends in common even though I had left the SP and Texas 17 years earlier.
