When the photo was taken, the former West Side line was used to service the Hull-Oakes Lumber mill at Dawson along with a couple of elevators but not anymore. One of the elevators has some kind of operation that I seem to recall are moving grass-seed from one of the spurs on the branch. I think that W&P had filed for abandoment, but it was withdrawn. Author: wjpyper One of the farmers out on the Bailey Branch bought the tracks from UP and pays Albany & Eastern to haul his grain to interchange with P&W.
