"RAILFEST 2017" APRIL 29-30. 9:00am - 5:00pm Both Days. FREE ADMISSION! Train Rides, Speeder Rides, Model Trains, Antique Engines & Tractors, Gift Shops, Arts & Craft Booths, Turntable Display, Railroad Visitor Center, The Frontier Gunfighters and Much More.

The "Fillmore Historical Museum Depot" will be open both days. This is the original 1887 Southern Pacific Railroad Fillmore Depot. The "Rancho Camulos National Historic Landmark" will have representatives/docents present. 

Railfest 2017 is presented by the "Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society" in cooperation with "The Fillmore & Western Railway".

The Ventura County Star reported last week that the Ventura County Transportation Commission and F&W were trying to negotiate a resolution to the litigation regarding use of the Santa Paula Branchline.  That is a hopeful sign but it's been pretty contentious to this point.
