Trains in Silhouette
Author: sig292

Every once in a while, when the opportunity presents itself, I like to photograph trains in silhouette. Here are a few of my best results.

1. Amtrak no. 8 on the Two Medicine Bridge at East Glacier MT. 10-11-00
2. 3 BNSF C44-9Ws cross Two Medicine Bridge at East Glacier MT 10-11-00
3. Peoria & Western A-B-A F9s at sunset Near Cuba IL 5-23-11

4. Conrail SD40-2 # 6403 during a winter sunset at Cresson, PA 2-7-98

Hope everyone enjoys them!

Sorry for the hair above the locomotives in photo 1. I didn't notice it in the slide scan until after I posted it. I fixed it.

I concur with Norman. All 5 shots are good, but #2 is stellar! Nice work, indeed!!

I just thought it was a distant flock of geese. #2 is very nice, was it digital?

All these photos were shot on slide film, some years ago, that's why I posted them on the nostalgia board.
Number 2 was shot on Kodachrome but I don't recall if it was asa 64 or 200. I had both on this trip.
