Ghost of the Kaw Valley Interurban
Author: bnsfsd70

While driving west down K-32 today in Edwardsville, KS, I passed this faux-trolley bus that was labeled as the "Kansas City Trolley." Ordinarily, I wouldn't make any sort of effort to photograph one of these buses, but in this case, the "trolley" was running west down the former right-of-way of the Kansas City, Kaw Valley & Western interurban line. While their freight service continued along this line until 1961, passenger service ended in 1935, making this a pretty neat, inadvertent recreation of the past.

Thanks for looking,

I hate those pretend trolley buses as there are many people who truly believe that when they ride one of those things, this is the way the real trolley felt, and in some cases you cannot argue with them as they just will not believe you.

Got it. That's what I get for writing a caption without busting out the books!

Glad that you were able to see this!
