Union Pacific Olympic Torch Relay units.

I found UP 1896 and 1996 in Clinton, Iowa June 24, 1996. I only caught them this one time. I wonder if they retained this scheme until the 2002 Olympics or were returned to regular UP paint sooner?

I don't know,the exact reprint date, but these units did not retain the Centennial Olympic scheme too long, especially when compared to the Salt Lake Winter Olympic units.

According to Don Strack's site, the SD40-2's were painted into the Olympic scheme in April 1996 and returned to their old paint and numbers in October and November 1996.
