Photo 1.  We attracted the attention of the local urchins.  I don't remember, and can't make out, what the signs say-  probably offering to clean our windshields?
Photo 2.  Was this a great RR, or what?!

I got asked about the "DANGER  600 VOLT THIRD RAIL" lettering on my car.   M-51 is a former Sacramento Northern motorcar delivered to the SN in Nov 1942.  At the time the SN was still an all electric railway and much of the Northern Electric built sections had 3rd rail.  I added the lettering as a nod to this history (I've no idea if the cars actually carried such warnings).

Relax- I always gave kids a quick ride when I could (not always possible at club events where they needed everyone to keep moving) and I donated time giving rides at RR days. Kids are the life blood of our hobby's future!

Photo #2 is a location between Eel Rock and South Fork called "Zooks Bluff". Water went through this tunnel in 1964.
