Looks like the Quad Cities local returning to Galesburg as he has some some red combines in his train. He's crossing over from the far western track to the far eastern track to head in to the yard at Galesburg. In a few moments he'll pass the Seminary Street Tower, which I believe was still standing at that time. Most likely this photo was taken from the back of the last car on # 5 in May 1975. I cant' determine which predecessor road the caboose belongs to. If it was silver it would be an ex-Q car, but the color isn't obvious to me.

Cabooses 1970-1995

BN 10098 was formerly CB&Q 13670 built 03/1970

I am in error. The build date was actually 03/1968.

The Q wide vision cabooses had rectangular windows, unique among the BN component lines. Still a good spotting feature today. BSB
