A Fitting End - Two Cabooses
Author: refarkas

Here are two cabooses that make a "fitting end" to their trains.
Image one: PC 18554 heads east through Massillon, Ohio on September 1, 1978. We called her type a "transfer caboose".
Image two: C&O 903118 a Chessie System "safety caboose" heads west through Clinton, Ohio on the afternoon of January 27, 1983.

Always really liked the Chessie System safety cabooses. They were bright, colorful, and interesting.

I like the dirty PC caboose.
Nice to see the full code line still on that route.

the PC caboose looks to be an industry type not a road caboose

We did a night photo shot in Clarksburg with the GM50 and C&O 903118 fresh out of the paint shop for the 1982 B&O Historical Society Convention.
