Today is National Classic Movie Day.

Here is a GIF from the Buster Keaton film "The Goat" (1921)
Buster is on the front of a speeding locomotive. It passes
in front of what I believe is a freight shed.

(actually the locomotive was going much slower but they cranked
the camera slower while filming) Thus when it is projected
the action appears to be much quicker.

I'm pretty sure that is a Santa Fe locomotive, if that might help.

I just watched it again. Yes, there is a scene at that station.
However in that GIF he goes past a freight house or warehouse.
At the end of the platform goes up. Could that be for icing reefers?

Clip is definitely not Inglewood.
I lived there 1959-1968.

According to John Bengston, Author of Silent Echoes, Discovering Early Hollywood Through the Films of Buster Keaton, the scene in "The Goat" in which Keaton rides the front of the engine to what appears to be a rapid stop was filmed in front of the Wiseburn station. In comparing maps, I believe it would have been near the Air Force Space & Missle Systems Center. Mr. Bengston shared these still photos as well- one of Keaton, and the other from D. W. Griffith's "Intolerance", 1916. Note "Wiseburn" painted on the building.

That locomotive is an SP 0-6-0 and is in a park in Roseburg Oregon.

MYSTERY SOLVED!!

Wiseburn, used a magnifying glass and its legible on the side of the building

I'm not a steam expert, but not only does that engine have a Santa Fe appearance, it has a road pilot, not footboards. Santa Fe 1229 was a 4 cylinder balanced compound. I believe that would explain the cylinder arrangement.
