An Amtrak Trip with B&O 3302
Author: ClubCar

Back in 1983 the group known as RRP (Railroad Passenger Cars) had their car on the Amtrak Train known as the "Blue Ridge" and went from Washington, D.C. to Martinsburg, West Virginia and return. This photo shows the train at the Martinsburg station prior to heading back to D.C. This car was the observation car for the Chessie Steam Safety Express Train pulled by ex-C&O 614. This car is now sitting outside in the front yard of the B&O Railroad Museum being allowed to rust away.

That's a first for me. I never knew that that car operated on an Amtrak train. Nice catch!

That car operated many times with Amtrak which is another reason why this original B&O Lounge/Observation car, now a one-of-a-kind, should be preserved and restored at the B&O Railroad Museum rather than allowed to sit and rust away.
