Nostalgia & History > Conrail 4800Date: 05/22/17 17:47 Conrail 4800 Author: BobE I found a couple of slides taken by the late Gerry Landau. Conrail 4800 appears in two different schemes----July 1976 and June 1978.
Refresh what's left of my memory. Wasn't this unit riveted, the only one and also the only one ever to get Conrail's blue paint? TIA BobE Date: 05/22/17 18:50 Re: Conrail 4800 Author: stevelv Yep. That's Old Rivets and I think you're right being the only one to wear CR blue paint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRR_4800.

It was in original style PRR paint a few years back but they had to do some PCB remediation so all the interior and exterior paint was removed. It is next on the list for a full cosmetic restoration. --- Ken
