CNW RS-32 4246 w/4 trailing units at Lake Preston, 1981

On March 11, 1981, Ted Schnepf caught this westbound 4246-led “classic 80’s CNW” freight passing through the late winter farmlands of Lake Preston, SD, 42 miles from its Huron destination. Trailing were two of CNW’s RSD-4’s, 1516 & 1517, recently painted, lone CNW RS-36 405 and chop nose SD9 6603.

What a hand to draw to, eh?
