if you get through nelson, bc, canada this summer stop at the refurbished cp station. very nice. i am posting a picture of a wonderful model they have of the old station and yard, one of a spike with the hammer indentations which i though was cool that i took last week. the rail says "illinois iron works 1899" and was at troup junction. very nice railtrail on , i believe, the nelson and fort shepherd where i saw the spike and much other nice historical artifacts. the trail runs through upper nelson and, i believe, is called the great northern trail. an one of, is it a fairbanks morse engine outside the station?
