Water Level Wednesday: Summer-only lighting
Author: march_hare

The NYC main runs mostly along the north bank of the Mohawk River, so shooting a train with the river in the background presents some lighting challenges.

But out in the long days of early summer, there are some pretty cool angles available.

1).  A few minutes after sunrise, a CSX eastbound rolls past the hills known as the Noses, near Canajoharie, NY.

2). Climbing the south nose just a little, we can look down on a westbound Niagara Falls train.

Boths shots date to 2004.
