Author: TCnR Interesting to see the car types and open loads, what they really looked like and also the reality of the derailments of that route. Any idea what the location is?

Probably a grain or feed dealer in around Eureka Date: 07/19/17 06:33 Re: Eureka Southern July 1989. Author: JDLX I can't see the video yet, but covered hoppers were common on EUKA for a few years, transporting inbound cement to a bulk dealer in Eureka.

According to my conductor, who worked there for some years, the meet was at Fort Seward and the derailment a few miles north of there. Date: 07/19/17 22:19 Re: Eureka Southern July 1989. Author: TCnR Great location info.
I was in that area enough times to regret not having found sme of these interesting locations and at least a few photos along the Eel. I did get a few around Willits, just makes it more frustrating. Date: 07/20/17 10:13 Re: Eureka Southern July 1989. Author: DFWJIM wingomann Wrote:

One train a day, up one day down the next and if there was a slide, it threw the system out of wack
