Nostalgia & History > WAG running extra (#36): More Frisco in TulsaDate: 07/20/17 03:43 WAG running extra (#36): More Frisco in Tulsa Author: santafe199 After last week’s WAG Wednesday ( https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4336371 ) TO member ‘TexasRocket’ made a request was made for more Tulsa ‘stuff’. Here is a companion shot from the original thread from 5 years ago. But this one was a real bear in Photoshop! It seems that Kodachrome’s noted emulsion ridges on the back of a given slide have always given us that legendary sharpness. But those ridges also seem to be a magnet for dust particles. And the older the slide, the more particles that get collected. I spent about an hour surgically removing them in the Photoshop Hospital. I wasn’t bored, though. I had the TV on 24 hour news and got my daily laughing jag (along with the rest of the world) at the latest insanity going on back east…

But... but... is that some sort of hand-throw puzzle switch in the foreground? Why the switch target and lamp? Man, the layout in downtown Ttown sure has changed....tracks going everywhere back then. Love that puzzle switch in the lower left serving the Tulsa Union Depot tracks. And we have a crossing guard...no quiet zone in the 50s.
