Nostalgia & History > Massillon Monday - CR 7741Date: 09/18/17 02:13 Massillon Monday - CR 7741 Author: refarkas A while back I posted a wider view of this photo, but here is a closer crop.
It is March 1980 in Massillon, Ohio, and a pair of helpers headed by CR 7741 is heading east past MACE Tower. The line crossing Conrail to the left of the tower is now RJ Corman. At the time it was the Chessie System line from Warwick, Ohio to Bridgeport, Ohio. KG Date: 09/18/17 08:18 Re: Massillon Monday - CR 7741 Author: ntharalson QWhy would they need helpers in Massilon? That's very odd to me as I can't recall
any major grades in that area. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 09/18/17 10:08 Re: Massillon Monday - CR 7741 Author: EL3600 Grades east and west of Wooster.

Agreed! I'll take an engine(s) shot by a tower any ol' day... Lance/199 Date: 09/18/17 14:00 Re: Massillon Monday - CR 7741 Author: gcm I agree with Lance - enjoy any engine/train at a tower.
