A Santa Fe Meet at the Bealville, California Siding in 1995

1. AT&SF SD40u 5040 is leading a merchandise freight down hill while an intermodal waits in the siding on March 1, 1995. The intermodal is stopped short of the Bealville Road grade crossing. The red arrow on the map shows my camera position.

Same spot a couple years ago in December of 2015. I hadn't been to Bealville in many years but on the way home from a family vacation in the Sequoias I decided to stop by and show it to my kids. They had a blast. This was a meet as well but the BNSF train showed up and cleared before the UP one going the other way made its appearance.
