Only data on slides was: Toledo, Ohio October 3, 1982 Perhaps someone can ID the location and direction of the train. Date: 09/19/17 09:59 Re: Grand Trunk Tuesday - D&TSL 48 Author: ghemr Very unique photos----glad you posted them!

It was jointly owned by and GTW and N&W until 1981. N&W shares had passed to it from NKP that had in turn received theirs from the Clover Leaf. The road was folded into the GTW after they acquired N&W's share.

The road has a special spot in my family's history through a Shore Line traffic manager who was a close business friend of my dad's for many years. They did a lot of business together, but they also had a great personal relationship, which extended to the rest of my family. You remember people like that who are far more than just business contacts.

I recall some fans from the area calling it the Detroit and Toledo Short Line. What a maze of power lines in that first photo! Date: 09/23/17 21:03 Re: Grand Trunk Tuesday - D&TSL 48 Author: tq-07fan Was the Detroit Toledo Shore Line a bridge road or an interline carrier, or both?
