I'm guessing it got black-and-yellow paint in 1958 or 1959, the paint had faded by 1967, and someone started a full repaint job and gotten as far as finishing the shoot hood when a supervisor said "to heck with that, just change the name to Seaboard Coast Line so we can put that unit on the road."
