Nostalgia & History > SP Meet at Moor Summit, Nev. Under a Rainbow, and SF KodachromeDate: 10/15/17 00:59 SP Meet at Moor Summit, Nev. Under a Rainbow, and SF Kodachrome Author: RailRat Video 1: On 5-5-1994, Under stormy skies, the sun came out just in time, along with a few big rain drops here and there, plus a rainbow! I always covered the camera with plastic just in case of rain, and you can hear the drops hitting that plastic sometimes. SP 8387 east pulls up to stop, and waits for an approaching westbound.....................Video 2: shows SP 7814 west passing on the main, Then our eastbound units smoke it up while pulling onto mainline after westbound clears. The weather around here was always kind of weird or unpredictable sometimes, I though for sure this time there would be some lighting or thunder, judging by the stormy skies. That didn't happen, but I was happy with the Rainbow, the Kodachrome unit, and the smoky departure!
