After the Chicago Madison & Northern, it was briefly painted silver/purple and lettered for the Charleston & Western Carolina, an Atlantic Coast Line subsidiary, and matched with Glenn Monharts ACL E3 501. It ran on the WICT for a couple years in this scheme before being painted by the WICT in the IC chocolate Brown/Orange. Currently stored on the Escanaba & Lake Superior.

There is a B&W photo of the tinker bell F7 in Rio Grande Diesels Vol 1. But the Tinker Bell must have been repainted as it looked more "finished" on the photo in Joseph Strapac's book.

The "Sugar Fairy" character was used by American Crystal Sugar for many years in their advertising.

Two great BB F Unit photos.
According to my records, the unit is presently owned by Escanaba & Lake Superior in Wells, MI.
