Nostalgia & History > WABAC Wednesday - EL 7131Date: 02/14/18 07:21 WABAC Wednesday - EL 7131 Author: refarkas If I could borrow Mr. Peabody's WABAC Machine, I might want to revisit this. EL 7131 and 1047 are stopped just north of the B&O Union Station walkbridge in Akron, Ohio in the late 1960's/early 1970's. I am on the B&O station's platform looking at this soon-to-go-east memory.

Beautiful B&W image on a great looking Akron summer day. Gary Date: 02/14/18 07:35 Re: WABAC Wednesday - EL 7131 Author: bluesboyst When you get the WABAC machine... I want to go too.

You sit there soaking in the warm sun & beautiful weather, but you're trapped in the cab. You're waiting on a signal to move your engine/cut of cars/train. Be it a hand signal or radio instruction, no matter. But you can't leave your post. Sometimes being the engineer on a crew ain't quite all it's cracked up to be...

Something for both EMD fans and ALCO fans. ALLEN |
