Fallen Flag Friday - Altoona, Pennsylvania
Author: refarkas

The location of this image is the diesel shop area of PC's Altoona, Pennsylvania yard in either 1969 or 1970. From left to right are PC 4371 (EMD FP7A), NYC 3328 (ALCO FB-2), PRR (Baldwin centercab possibly RT-624), PC 6173 (EMD SD45), NYC 8488 (EMD SW1), and a PRR locomotive (EMD E-unit).

That certainly is a great lineup of engines.
Also a nice look at the turntable mechanism.

I din't know the Baldwin centercabs made it to the PC roster. Great photo.

There was one in the scrap line , so my guess is the one by the turntable might have been there for parts before being scrapped.
