Actually, it's #4264 + 2 on the eastbound train. With the empty auto rack on the point, it looks like #80 arriving Pasco and meeting a westbound X05 grain drag or one of the 300-series drag trains.

BN 4264 would become Kyle RR 4264. Crew was boarding Kyle 4264 East at ex-Rock Island Goodland, Kansas, depot, July 19, 1984.

The 8007 would have been almost brand new at the time. The SD unit was just starting her 30 year career and the F unit and Alcos had only about 3 years left in them.

...and after changing hands several more times, it's still around today as Western New York & Pennsylvania 427.
