UP on the MKT at Wagoner,Ok -- May 88

A sign of things to come as this UP freight heads south on the MKT past the abandoned station at Wagoner,Ok.
It was about six months or so till the UP took over.

I don't know which is a sadder sight. The physical decline of the depot, or the encroachment of the big yellow octopus...

Nice shot. The Katy depot still exists today after being relocated away from the tracks. It received some attention and served as a restaurant for a number of years before that gave in as well. Here's a map view of it off US69 just north of Wagoner. A caboose and coach sit behind it.
