Nostalgia & History > Clinchfield RR " Georgian" passenger trainDate: 03/14/18 18:54 Clinchfield RR " Georgian" passenger train Author: UP951West In searching for info on any Clinchfield passenger service , a brief mention was made of the "Georgian " . Marty Bernard posted a super C&EI passenger slide recently and it was thought to be the The Georgian of another Florida train. Could this have been service from Chicago to Florida over the C&EI/ L&N / CRR/ ACL/ FEC ? If so, what years did it run and what route ? Thank you in advance.

It ended up before Amtrak as an all L&N Evansville - Atlanta operation. Clinchfield did not operate any through passenger trains in conjunction with other railroads. Last passenger service, a mixed train, ended in March 1955. ALLEN |
