Probably no significant grades of considerable length on the system.

Brings back memories of a couple summers in college in the late 60's when I worked on the track crew that built the "new" yard. That is where I learned that it is better to handle a spike maul than a tamping bar. I can still spike pretty well and I still hate a tamping bar.
