B&M 1262 is one of the rare S-2 units with horizontal radiator shutters.

I remember the B&M from the 1970s and the bankruptcy. The railroad had some valuable real estate. Did B&M sell it or did Guilford?

Curious as to why a B&M switcher is in South Station.

From 1977 through 1986, the B&M operated the MBTA commuter rail lines out of South Station as well as their own former lines out of North Station. The 1122 was the “South Side” switcher throughout much of this time and was based, first in Providence then at South Station.
