Even now the Union Pacific has the most the varied roster on this side of the great pond. But there was a time when UP meant true variety.. The pilot on UP 605 looks awful. What a way to uglify a beautiful locomotive.

The first photo is definitely Salt Lake City with the capitol dome up on Capitol Hill and the Wasatch Mountains in the background.
