Nostalgia & History > Your Choice - NYC 4032Date: 03/17/18 03:12 Your Choice - NYC 4032 Author: refarkas Square or horizontal? It's your choice. It is the first month of Penn Central, but it still looks like a New York Central world in this photo.
NYC 4032 heads a westbound passenger train through Painesville, Ohio on the weekend of February 24-25, 1968. Bob Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/20/18 16:08 by refarkas. Date: 03/17/18 04:27 Re: Your Choice - NYC 4032 Author: cornerfieldhobby I like photo 1 best. I see the pole or other things people might not like, but with this photo being 50 years old, I just love loooking at the photo in general. So much history.

I really dislike losing the prominence of the code lines on the right and the ballast car on the left in Photo 1. Thanks for posting. ALLEN Date: 03/17/18 12:24 Re: Your Choice - NYC 4032 Author: lynnpowell My first thought upon seeing the photos was why are diesels scooping water? DUH!!! Obviously a cold winter or spring day with some loose steam connections between the locomotives and cars.

And the train looks like it has at least a 4th unit or maybe more? Was this a mail train? Just curious, I was in Vietnam at the time and could not enjoy such sights. By late October I was working for PC.
