If I am not mistaking, Clinton Tower was behind you. ALLEN Date: 03/17/18 11:50 Re: C&NW E8 at Chicago - Dec 76 Author: gcm krm152 Wrote:

The operators didn't mind my presence but I tried to stay out of their view. There's just some about that non-pretentious solid yellow with the slanted nose emblem that stands out so strongly in my mind. Even though I grew up in Kansas...
Very nice shot, Gary! I was on this curve for a whole afternoon in 1979 and again in 1980. In '79 I had crummy overcast weather. I wish I had known about your vantage point. Perfect for cloudy weather! Lance Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/17/18 12:09 by santafe199. Per a check on Google Street View, the Cassidy Tire Company is still there. Date: 03/17/18 13:27 Re: C&NW E8 at Chicago - Dec 76 Author: jcaestecker "Ladies and gentlemen, Clybourn is next. Clybourn!"
