Working the North Coast Limited

CB&Q NW2 9227 working the North Coast Limited in the coach yard south of Chicago Union Station on September 14, 1965. She was built in August 1946. That green and tan commuter coach would soon be replaced by new gallery cars.

Super photo!

That car in view is a Northern Pacific 8 Duplex Roomette, 3 Double Bedroom, 1 Compartment, 6 Roomette Pullman Sleeper owned by NP. Sister cars owned by CB&Q are preserved at both IRM and the Museum of Transport. Another sister car, CB&Q 480, is now NS #16, hopefully at Altoona PA?
