Not great quality in this dupe, but the subject matter overrides that .... other than what you see, I have no other info. UP FM 'Erie built' on the move, while UP steamer #5091 rests.

Great slice of UP history! I would assume the 5091 was in helper service in between jobs...

What an amazing photo. The UP had very few FM cabs.

UP had 8, originally were #700-707 then r# to #650-657

Howdy,

The same photo appears in Mark Hemphill's Union Pacific Salt Lake Route book; the caption reads:

"...first 203, the westbound Utahn, meets 4-10-2 helper 5091 at Summit, California, on December 17, 1950"
