Very nice, I can relate as I have ridden on the private car "Leonard J. Buxton" on the Northeast Corridor from Washington, D.C. to New York City and return. I did not hang out the "Dutch Door" because of the high speed and the passing of other passenger trains, Amtrak did not want anyone hanging out on either side of the car, but it was an experience going over 100 miles per hour and seeing the ballast dust kicking up behind our train as we were the last car. The "Leonard J. Buxton" which was owned by Railroad Passenger Cars, Inc. (RRP) made a number of trips on Amtrak on the Northeast Corridor prior to when RRP closed down in 1995. Where is this car today? Sitting in the back of the B&O R.R. Museum being used as a children's birthday car, sad to say.
