Nostalgia & History > Some Milwaukee MofW Rolling StockDate: 05/23/18 22:48 Some Milwaukee MofW Rolling Stock Author: MartyBernard Found all this in St. Paul in June 1964.
1. MILW X900267, a Snow Flanger, looks like a steam engine tender, in Pigs Eye Yard. 2 and 3. The combine looking thing is MILW X400. Enjoy, Marty Bernard Date: 05/24/18 18:42 Re: Some Milwaukee MofW Rolling Stock Author: illini73 MartyBernard Wrote:

The "branch line" cars were built in the 1930s using the same basic structural elements as the streamlined coaches built for Hiawatha service around the same time. This looks like one of the 1934-35 versions. The heavyweight car shown in Pic. 2 has had one end replaced with a few of the standard streamlined coach side/roof sections. Also looks like the 1934 version of same. |
