Interesting! Thanks for posting.

Your first photo above....here’s a couple of shots today at Portal Heights, Montreal (now Canora). The first is roughly from the same vantage point and the second.....exiting the tunnel portal below.

What was the abandoned right of way in the Cleveland shot?

And for you trivia buffs what was "CANORA" station named after or for? Take you pick.

CORRECT. Plus Canora avenue parallels the station!

Beautiful. My favorite is the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit PCC. When they were in service, I was able to ride them when I visited Cleveland.

Got to ride one of the Nawlins Perley-Thomas cars and visit their shop while attending a convention there in the late '80s when I was at OSHA Hq. in DC.
The car had just been rebuilt - great ride!

Here's a present-day approximation of the Cleveland shot, from Google. The freight equipment is on the NKP/N&W/NS main. The catenary supports are for the abandoned CUT passenger main, as mentioned above.

The difference today is that the LRVs and Red Line EMUs operate on the righthand tracks. They did lefthand running so that the PCC cars doors would open onto the Island Platforms in that section.

Nice set of pictures. I enjoy the stuff you post.
