No. 6 is at Bay & Taylor on the Mason line. Posted from Android Date: 06/13/18 15:30 Re: Six of Warren Wing's San Francisco Cable Car Photos Author: fbe Advertisments for Scotch whisky and beer on the sides of the cars. Is that what is needed to steady your nerves after the steep rides in the cars?
Date: 06/13/18 15:47 Re: Six of Warren Wing's San Francisco Cable Car Photos Author: colehour I arrived in The City about a year after those photos were taken. Sure brings back memories of some 47 years ago! I believe that I shopped in the Cost Plus store at Bay and Taylor.
Thanks for posting these classics! Date: 06/13/18 15:51 Re: Six of Warren Wing's San Francisco Cable Car Photos Author: HT6 Notice the small "crowds." Those were the days when riding the cable cars was a pleasure. I do not think they let you help turn the cars on the turntable anymore either.

The grips were colorful guys (are there women now?) who had distinctive ringing styles. I left the Bay Area nearly 40 years ago, and my last ride on a cable car was in the '70s. The locals who use them frequently use a Clipper card. Much cheaper! Date: 06/13/18 17:50 Re: Six of Warren Wing's San Francisco Cable Car Photos Author: TonyJ I enjoyed the views. Photo No. 6 at Bay & Taylor brings back fun memories of when I worked at Cost Plus Imports for about six months during 1965 after I got out of the navy.

And not far way you could get a glass of Anchor Steam Beer at Ginsberg Irish Pub. They are still fun to ride, but the crowds on the Powell line are ridiculous.
