Museum looking for flat cars
Author: wjpyper

The San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum is searching for Southern Pacific Railroad flat cars class F-70-7 and F-70-10. They are looking for complete cars in industrial sites, salvage yards, abandoned, on short-lines, in museums, etc. for eventual display at the museum. Any leads will be investigated and appreciate. Please send any information to Brad LaRose, Curator at bradlarose72@gmail.com

There is one that has a coat of Weyerhaeuser yellow someone was using for a bridge outside of Klamath Falls. They dragged it out by highway 39 it’s south of town I will have to take a looksie and see if it’s what they are looking for. I am pretty sure it was an idler car to use between the last loaded log car and the caboose as it doesn’t have remnants of cut down log bunks. The OC&E had quite a fleet of second hand equipment that got scrapped and scattered into the wind when they shut down.
