Nostalgia & History > Fallen Flag Friday - PC/B&O/BNDate: 06/22/18 14:24 Fallen Flag Friday - PC/B&O/BN Author: refarkas In 1972 I got my first SLR camera (a Nikkormat). I then had to learn how to take better 35mm slides. Many of my first year slides such as these were on Agfachrome since that is what my dad and the only other railfan I knew who took slides used.. I had to learn how to expose a slide, etc. Here are three of my learning images from then. They are posted because of their being fallen flags and not because of their quality.
Image one - PC 6010 is in Sharonville, Ohio on August 25, 1972. Image two: Six B&O and C&O blue locomotives head east in Akron, Ohio on September 4, 1972. Image three:BN 5666 (GE U28C) and 5650 (GE U28C) are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area on August 8, 1972. Bob Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 06/22/18 14:27 by refarkas. And here is some roster data:
5650 was ex-CB&Q 562, built February 1966, EMD #35751 5666 was ex-NP 2800, built April 1966, EMD #35630 Marty Bernard Date: 06/22/18 15:58 Re: Fallen Flag Friday - PC/B&O/BN Author: refarkas Thanks for the information. The most obvious difference (besides the paint) to me is the single nose light on 5666 and the dual nose light on 5650.
