Re: the 1963 and 1966 photos of the Lake Cities, the loss of US mail contract had obvious impact on the non-passenger portion of the consist. And the picture of #5 arriving Hammond with all the car brake shoes smoking suggests it was going like schnell before beginning its station stop!

Love them all! I cannot get enough of the EL. I especially like the RS-3 shot. It's the everyday work shot with all of the little details that make it a gem.

Love the shot at Kouts.  Seems it was visited far less than the nearby North Judson interlocking, but was just as interesting.
