SCL GP7 Fueled and Ready 1976 - 42 Yrs Ago Today

SCL #965 and #946, both EMD GP7, were at the fueling facility at SCL’s small yard at Roanoke Rapids, NC on July 14, 1976. In the posted photo of #965, the unit appears to be in pretty good condition except for some scuffing on the frame.

The SCL used yellow to its advantage. While the locomotives were black, the yellow made them somewhat colorful.
