Nostalgia & History > Making Like a ZephyrDate: 09/07/18 15:12 Making Like a Zephyr Author: MartyBernard This is the first Rick Burn slide I scanned today. Pictures of Green Day & Western trains pulled by Alco road switchers are rare. But what struck my funny bone was the blur, and my thought was "Making like a Zephyr."
It's a Kodachrome and in 1965, Kodachrome II was ASA 25. Looks like the blue hour so the lens on Rick's camera was wide open and the speed 1/10 of a second at best. Yes it blurred, but one could argue it's better because of the blur. Those three Alcos were doing their best to make like a Zephyr. 1. GBW freight between Wisconsin Rapids and Plover, WI in April 1965. Thanks Rick for a little chuckle, Marty Bernard Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 09/07/18 15:18 by MartyBernard. |
