A nice wooden Santa Fe station in Midlothian,Tx - 27 miles south of Dallas on the Dallas-Cleburne line (Oct 1976).

I wonderr if this depot survived "The Depot Killer"?

UP must also serve Midlothian as there is a huge Gerdeau steel mill that specializes in "long steel" meaning wide-flange beams.

As a coincidence, OPR just last month received a carload of W16X77 beams via UP  to use as stringers for the rebuild of our Molalla River bridge that were rolled by this mill.

It's now off-site and serving as a hair salon, but it still exists:
