Author: Railbaron 1958 and that car already has roller bearing trucks under it with end-caps even painted white - interesting.
If I read it right that car was almost brand new, built "9-57". Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/14/18 08:34 by Railbaron. Date: 09/14/18 08:41 Re: WAG running extra (#55): Be Specific! Author: valmont Did Athearn make that??? : >)

The brick building looks a little light, too. Date: 09/14/18 10:12 Re: WAG running extra (#55): Be Specific! Author: santafe199 CPR_4000 Wrote: > ... Might be a tad overexposed ...
That was my first thought, as well. And I'm sure this wasn't intentional. Once in a while Bill would get a run of slightly over-exposed slides. Then he corrected his settings. On this image IIRC, I did darken it a bit. As for the color tone I believe it actually is a little bit lighter than later version of the classic UP 40ft box. And I remember the later versions having BCR painted ends, not the black shown above... Lance/199 Date: 09/14/18 13:22 Re: WAG running extra (#55): Be Specific! Author: lynnpowell I believe that the UP freight car color for that era is called "Mineral Red".
